God & Science - 1 of 3 - Intro
Christianity is a personal-God-centered view of reality as recorded in the Bible and fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Science is man's search for the reality behind the appearances. Science is a man-centered view of reality. Science is based on man-constructed theories which change, sometimes significantly, over time. Scientific theories are based on untestable and unprovable presuppositions, which may include non-Biblical assumptions about how God created and sustains the universe. Scientific theories can never discover truth about reality (i.e., the problem of induction). Scientific theories and associated mathematical “laws” should be held tentatively, recognizing that God is not obligated to always act the same way (the God of Deism), regardless of how useful and accurate the scientific theories may appear to be.
